Group sizes & scheduling

How to book

• We’ll provide a quote and handle arrangements so your group can relax and enjoy a premium, hygienic salon experience.

• Reservation changes or cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment to avoid fees.

• Cancellations or rescheduling within 24 hours of the appointment will incur a fee equal to 50% of the scheduled service cost.

• No-shows (failure to arrive for your appointment without prior notice) will be charged 100% of the scheduled service cost.

• For bookings of 3 or more services, group appointments, or services scheduled during peak times/holidays, a 48-hour cancellation window applies; cancellations within 48 hours will be charged 50% of the total service cost.

• Appointments that required a deposit at the time of booking: the deposit is non-refundable but may be applied to a rescheduled appointment if changes are made within the allowed cancellation window.

• If you arrive late, we will do our best to accommodate service adjustments within your remaining appointment time; full-service charges apply for the time reserved. If we cannot provide the service due to lateness, cancellation/no-show fees may apply.

• Exceptions may be made for emergencies or extenuating circumstances at management’s discretion. Please contact the salon directly as soon as possible if an emergency arises.

We recommend saving your appointment confirmation and contacting us by phone to ensure timely assistance with cancellations or changes.

We create custom nail art: hand-painted, gel, 3D, foil, chrome, ombré, negative-space, and custom colors.

Prices depend on complexity and materials; small accents are an add-on, full sets quoted after consult.

Gel Nails

• Material and chemistry: Photo-cured gel formulas (soft gel or hard gel) that cure under UV or LED light.

• Application: Natural nail is prepped, base gel applied, cured, color gel applied and cured, then top coat and final cure. Can be applied over tips or used to sculpt extensions.

• Finish and appearance: Glossy, natural-looking, flexible finish that closely mimics the natural nail. High shine that lasts without yellowing.

• Durability: Generally lasts 2–3 weeks without lifting when applied properly. Less prone to cracking than nail polish but more flexible than acrylic.

• Removal: Must be soaked off with acetone (for soft gel) or filed/immersed and removed professionally for hard gel. Improper removal can damage the natural nail.

• Best for: Clients who want a natural look, flexible feel, and a high-shine finish with moderate longevity.

Dip Powder Nails

• Material and chemistry: Colored pigment powders (acrylic-based or polymer powders) combined with a resin/adhesive system rather than liquid monomer.

• Application: Nail is prepped, base resin applied, nail dipped into pigment powder or powder sprinkled on, repeated layers for opacity, then activator (sealant) and top coat applied.

• Finish and appearance: Opaque, pigmented finish that can be matte or glossy depending on top coat. Very consistent color and coverage.

• Durability: Very durable and chip-resistant; typically lasts 3–4 weeks with minimal chipping and reduced risk of lifting when applied well.

• Removal: Soaked off with acetone; removal is usually faster and less filing-intensive than acrylic but still should be done professionally to avoid damage.

• Best for: Clients who want long-lasting color, strong nails, and a less odorous, lower-maintenance alternative to traditional acrylics.

Acrylic Nails

• Material and chemistry: Liquid monomer mixed with powder polymer to form a hard resin that sets at room temperature (no light needed).

• Application: Nail is prepped, liquid monomer and powder polymer are combined to form a bead, then applied and shaped on the nail or extension tip. Once cured, file and finish with polish or top coat.

• Finish and appearance: Can be sculpted into various shapes and lengths; finish can be polished glossy or matte per top coat. Typically thicker and stiffer than gel.

• Durability: Very strong and durable; excellent for long extensions and heavy-duty wear. Lasts 3–4 weeks with fills recommended. More prone to lifting if not applied correctly.

• Removal: Requires filing or soaking in acetone; removal can be more time-consuming and typically requires professional service to avoid nail damage.

• Best for: Clients who want maximum strength, dramatic length or shape, and frequent heavy use (e.g., long extensions or intricate sculpting).

At NYAH Nail Boutique we follow strict, professional protocols to ensure every tool and pedicure station is thoroughly cleaned, disinfected, and safe for our clients.

We remove visible debris immediately after use, wipe tools with disposable towels to remove product, skin, and nail debris.

We soak metal implements in warm, soapy water or an enzymatic cleaner for a few minutes, then brush each item under running water to remove remaining residue.

Next, we rinse completely with clean water and dry with a clean towel or allow to air-dry on a sanitized surface.

Disinfecting

For heat-tolerant metal tools, we use an autoclave (steam sterilizer) —run a validated sterilization cycle and store sterile tools in sealed pouches until use.

Files, buffers, and single-use items

Use disposable files, buffers, pumice stones, and orange sticks once and discard in a closed waste container.

We do not reuse single-use items.

We store disinfected or sterilized tools in a clean, dry, covered container or sealed pouch to maintain sterility until use.

We use liners of single-use for each client.

Additional hygiene practices

Hand hygiene: Technicians wash hands thoroughly before and after each service and use gloves when appropriate, changing them between clients.

We clean and disinfect nail stations, counters, chairs, and high-touch surfaces between clients with an EPA-registered disinfectant.

We follow state and local board regulations and industry guidelines for salon sanitation, and update protocols as standards evolve.
